Dickens Fellowship Conference photos, and a little something extra

As promised, here are the links to my photos of the trip:

Part 1: A talk by Dickens's great-great-grandsons Gerald and Ian in Portsmouth's Guildhall Square

Part 2: The Naval Pay Office and Dickens's birthplace

Part 3: More photos of the birthplace, along with the font where Dickens was baptized, the graves of some people he knew, Blackwell's Bookstore, and The King's Theatre

Part 4: The City Council Building, the Portsmouth City Museum, our Conference Banquet, and one more shot of Gerald Dickens

There's also commentary about the sights and performances we saw and some of the lectures we heard, and some links of interest.

And here's a special bonus just for my LJ friends: a few photos of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle exhibit at the Portsmouth City Museum. So many of you are Sherlock fans (though I believe the majority are fonder of BBC Sherlock than the original) that I thought you might enjoy these!

If anyone ever tries to convince you that sex doesn't sell, ask them why else The Hound of the Baskervilles would have a picture of a tied-up woman on the cover.

Inside the box, in case you can't tell, is a Star Trek figure: Data as Sherlock Holmes.
