I spent half of Sherlock Holmes wondering why Inspector Lestrade looked so familiar. Didn't realize until the end credits came up -- he's Mr. Pancks. DUH!

What a difference a little hair makes!

Hehe. I recognized him when I saw the trailer. "It's Pancks -- with hair!" was my reaction. :)

His character was very funny! Towards the end I was kind of like, "He's bad?!" but then I realized what was going on. :D

Mary was the one I couldn't figure out for the longest time! I knew I had heard her voice somewhere before. Finally I figured out that she was Caroline Bingley in the latest "Pride & Prejudice."

I did not realize that! And she's a very striking woman. The period hairstyles and clothes really suit her.

I was happy to see Eddie Marsan wasn't the villain - though I admit to missing the Jeremy Brett cast and plotting all the way through. At least the two leads were excellent and the dialogue was primarily from the books. But the plot...well...it was not good.
