Speaking of fanfic

. . . I've just discovered that there is Boy in the Striped Pajamas fanfic. Yegads! That movie left me all but catatonic. I've never had such an emotionally wrecking experience in a theater, before or since. I can't imagine having the fortitude to write stories about it!

I have wanted to rent that. Was it a book also?

Yes. And I hear the book was a *little* less traumatic than the movie. I haven't had the guts to read it yet, though!

OH, DEAR GOD!

After reading a doctor's first hand account of one of the camps, I didn't think anything could shock me anymore.

But I was not expecting THAT.

I feel sick.

I'm often puzzled by what people will write fanfic to...

For what it's worth, the book of A Boy in Striped Pajamas was a good idea, but it was really really pooorly written.

Wait, what? I didn't think I'd given anything away -- did you go read about the movie or something?

I agree! I can't imagine ANYONE writing ff on that movie.

I Googled it and it was online.

Oh, I see. Yeah, it really punches you in the gut.
