Is it Christmas already??

I turned on the TV this morning to check the weather, and there was Colin Firth announcing that he's just recorded an audiobook version of one of my very favorite novels ever.

What on earth did I do to deserve such a treat?!

Wow, good for you! And I've never read that book either. Wasn't it a movie fairly recently? The title sounds familiar.

It was adapted recently, but I was told that the adaptation wasn't very good. (One of those adaptations that looks pretty but basically cuts out the whole heart of the story.) So I never saw it.

Ah, I see. Well, I am glad your Hollywood boyfriend is reading the real thing for you!

I've never read this one, but I may just try out the audiobook. (Somebody needs to hint that he should narrate a certain Jane Austen novel--or has that already happened?)

Someone MUST have suggested it by now, I would think. But whether he's ever acted on the suggestion, I don't know!

*fangirl flail* Okay, I've always wanted to read this book (I think I saw Julianne Moore and Ralph Fiennes in a movie version?) but an audio version recorded by Colin?! OMG YES! :D

Yes. Clearly it is Christmas. There can be no other explanation for this.
