It seems there's a lot of heartburn over the fact that Lindsay Lohan is going to play Elizabeth Taylor. I mean, how could Liz, of all people, possibly be played by a hard-living, drug-taking, scandal-ridden . . . tabloid-headlining . . . oh, wait.

Thank you. :-) I CAN understand, a little, the people who argue that Taylor had the sort of glamour and "larger than life" quality that Lohan won't be able to capture onscreen. I'm not exactly a Taylor fan, but I'll grant her that much. But the people who argue that Lohan will somehow tarnish Taylor's image -- um, no. Liz pretty much tarnished it all by herself, long before Lindsay was even born.
