Rethinking the music of the night

I just finished reading William Kent Kreuger's Ordinary Grace.

. . . And I think perhaps all Phantom fangirls should read it (and yes, I'm one myself). Turns out that romance with the guy with the musical talent and the disfigured face may not be all it's cracked up to be.



And that's all I have to say about that. Except that, really, everyone should read it. It's excellent.

Ooo, you have my interest effectually snared. Much as I like the concept of the Phantom, though, I always did think Christine was better off with Raoul, who would make a good life-partner, even if he couldn't be half as compelling as the Phantom. :)

Yeah, same here. :-)

As for the book -- the "Phantom" resemblance is very subtle and hard to spot at first, but it's impossible to miss by the end!
