Thanks for all the sweet birthday wishes last week. I can't say I like 40, but I'm getting used to it. Or trying to. :-)

One good thing about it -- I got this from my parents. It's sort of a family thing. My dad surprised my mom with a ring on her 40th birthday, so they thought it would be nice to give me one for mine.

It's a beautiful ring - the design reminds me of the Art Deco style, very pretty. ^_^

And about being 40: I firmly believe that age doesn't mean that you have to behave or feel a certain way just because you've reached a specific number of years. You're you, no matter what age.

40 is not bad at all. If you're like me, it can be the age at which you begin well and truly not giving a -- er, hoot -- what people think of you anymore.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm not the best photographer, and the lighting makes it a bit difficult to see the color (light blue). But it shows the shine! :-)
