Epilogue to the saga of Barnes & Noble

Remember that episode? The epilogue took place the other day, when they e-mailed me that I was getting a refund for the book I sent back. I called to tell them I didn't need a refund because they had sent the replacement. Suffice it to say, that phone call went very much like the previous phone call.

I give up. Just throw money at me, B&N. Throw all the money you want. I can handle it.

Ha ha! Well, it seems like you did all you could to fix things on your end. It's not your fault other people are crazy!

I missed your first post, so I went back and then read the current one. I think you did fine. I had almost the same experience where I received an expensive item I hadn't purchased as well from B&N.

I tried to return it, but it was sent back because the return label didn't cover shipping. Shipping would have cost an arm and a leg, so I gave it away to a coworker.

Starting to wonder if B&N has a really funky system that just glitches like mad. ;)

Wow, that IS kinda crazy! I'm lucky that I have a B&N store fairly convenient to me, so I don't need to order online very often. I'll be very cautious about doing so in the future.

O.o

Yeah, still puzzling over how it worked out that way, even now. From now on, I'll probably go to physical stores, too. Plus, it's a much richer experience to actually go in the store itself and just be surrounded by books. :)

Yes, and you can SMELL them! (Which I do all the time. Don't tell!)

Hee, I won't tell! I think all bookworms are guilty of reveling in the smell of books. :)

Well, at least you tried! Now you can enjoy all that money-throwing with a clear conscience! ;)
