My Italian teacher comes up with some pretty creative ideas for in-class exercises. Tonight he had us on "Italian Idol," only writing poems instead of singing. Because we didn't have much time and I didn't feel very confident about my ability to find rhyming words in Italian, here's what I wrote:
Ho paura di
Scrivere una rima.
Scrivo un haiku.
(Translation:
I'm afraid to
Write a rhyme.
I'm writing a haiku.)
When all else fails, you can always be a smart aleck!
