I begin to see why Ana Lucia wasn't too popular. Bossy brat, isn't she? And the thousand and one pet the dog moments are not helping. If there's anything worse than a bossy brat, it's a bossy brat being shoved down your throat.

It's kind of fun, though. I mean, the whole point of the TV Tropes site is to sort of call attention to those things that you've seen dozens of times but never really thought about . . . which makes it funny when you spot those things again. (And makes you appreciate whenever they find a way NOT to use those things again!)

Sorry about Sawyer, but I just can't seem to warm up to him yet!

What did she do that fits in that category? Did she literally pet Vincent? I can't recall now. (I love that that dog is a female in real life!)

Oh, various things: She saved the little girl, was really nice to both kids, saved Bernard, showed remorse for some of the bad things she's done, etc.

I stopped watching soon after Ana Lucia turned up in the story, but I remember not being able to stand her. So yeah, I get what you're saying here.

I didn't really start liking Sawyer until [spoilery thing], so... maybe season five, I think it was. And it really wasn't him so much as the [spoiler].

I didn't love Ana Lucia, but I liked her okay. She was competent, which is more than you can say for a lot of the other characters who took up/got stuck with leadership roles.

I liked her competence at first. It was when she started waving a gun around and doing the "YOU OBEY ME OR ELSE!" thing that I started to get disenchanted. That was when she went from competent to bullying.
