The 'Barnaby Rudge' Read

I should have mentioned this long ago (see previous post re: slowness), but we're reading Barnaby Rudge together over at Dickensblog. We're following the original publication schedule, and the load is light: only one or two chapters a week. If you're interested, please come join us! I have to name eight stories or books that I would like to live in for two weeks, and then I have to pick eight other bloggers to receive the award.

This took a lot of thought. Turns out it's amazing how many of my favorite stories would put me in danger of the guillotine, ruthless criminals, or some other frightening fate.

(Also, I'm going to include movies and TV shows under the category of "stories," because it's my LJ and I can. ;-) )

8. White Collar (if I could be Elizabeth. She rarely seems to be in danger from criminals, and she gets to be married to Peter!)
