Why do musicians do this?

Sugarland's new song "Stuck Like Glue" is a really cute song about a couple staying together through all the rough times in a relationship.

The video to the song is all about a deranged woman (and her guitar player!) stalking, kidnapping, tying up, and force-feeding a guy.

Of course it's all done in a comic, totally over-the-top manner, but there's still something icky about it. Especially since it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LYRICS.

(Nor does it help matters that Jennifer Nettles's new hairdo makes her look oddly like Kate Gosselin.)

I don't know, that sort of thing just bugs me.
