Settle an argument
Nov. 16th, 2014 11:11 amI've signed up to buy some Christmas presents for a child through the local mission. They gave me a six-year-old girl's name. I was shopping today and ran across this little orangutan, which I immediately fell for. (It's cuter in real life! And it's really soft and huggable.)
I think a little girl would like this. Dad thinks so too. Mom says it's ugly and scary and she'll probably hate it. What do you all think?
It's not like I have no experience with six-year-old girls. My younger goddaughter is six, and I think she'd like it. But every little girl is different -- and it can be really hard when you've never met the little girl you're buying for! Anyway, I still need to buy her some more things, so I can always get her a pretty, frou-frou kind of doll as well, and then she would have something pretty AND something cuddly. But I need to figure out whether to take the orangutan back, or give it to someone else, or just go ahead and give it to this child. (Maybe put a pretty red bow on it or something . . . ?)
