That'll teach me to ignore pop music

I just took an online test to try to get on "Jeopardy!" (I auditioned many years ago and didn't make it; thought I might as well try again.) One of the questions was who sings "Take Me to Church," and for the LIFE of me I could not remember, even though I've read something like one hundred thousand articles about that song (because one hundred thousand Christian cultural commentators have written about that song). No dice. I guess it helps if you've actually heard a song all the way through; seeing the singer's name written all those times just doesn't stick.

What really annoys me, though, is that I completely blanked out on Civil War battles. I knew I was ignorant about pop music, but I thought I knew something about history.
