--The final (short) season of White Collar kicks off tonight. It's gone pretty stale for me, but I'll be with it to the finish line anyhow. It got me back to a place where I could be interested in and enjoy a serial drama again, after having been badly burned by a previous series. So I'll always appreciate that. (Until I get burned again, and then I'll be all "WHY? Why did I EVER trust a TV writer??")
--Figure skating fan problems:
(1) Doing the equivalent of advanced calculus to figure out what time a competition is taking place in another time zone, and getting it wrong anyhow.
(2) Doing the equivalent of advanced calculus plus graduate-level statistics to do competition predictions, and ending up no higher than sixth place in the Figure Skating Universe prediction contest.
(2) Richard Dornbush AND Julia Lipnitskaya, my two favorite eligible skaters, competing the same weekend. How is an uber-fan supposed to breathe for the next two days, I ask you!?
