That Gilmore Girls cast reunion over the weekend has brought Team Jess back out of the woodwork (not that they ever stay in there for long) and oh, boy, are they raring to go. Again. The following is a recap of basically every conversation I have ever had about Jess Mariano:
Jess fan: "Jess is the best!"
Me: "I prefer Logan, myself."
Jess fan: "WHAT NO YOU CAN'T LIKE LOGAN LOGAN SUCKS JESS IS THE BEST"
Me: "Nah, Jess was too sullen and rude for me."
Jess fan: "BUT IT'S NOT HIS FAULT HE HAD A HARD CHILDHOOD AND WHAT ABOUT LOGAN SAYING MARTY MADE A GOOD MARTINI THAT ONE TIME YOU KNOW THAT WAS TOTALLY AN INSULT SO LOGAN IS THE RUDEST"
Me: "Er, what?"
Jess fan: "YOU HEARD ME LOGAN SUCKS JESS IS THE BEST!!!! THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Me: "Sorry, I'm gonna stay on Team Logan."
Jess fan: "NOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T TEAM JESS TEAM JESS TEAM JESS"
There are Hare Krishnas in airports who proselytize less than this. Apparently just liking Jess is not enough for a true Team Jess member. World domination is the ultimate goal.
