Wasn't he? You always hear stories about his perfectionism and workaholism and all that, and I'm sure they're all true, and yet there's such a sweetness in him too. It comes through so clearly. (And it says something, I think, that most of the people who talked about his perfectionism and slavedriving still liked and respected him!)

It's been some years since I've watched it, but my sister and I could quote most of it along with the characters. It's part of our DNA. The nieces grew up watching it too and can sing many of the songs. We've taught them well. *g*

Not a rain goes by that I don't hear that song in my head. I can't dance to save my life, but I always twirl my umbrella and sing it. Always. Sometimes I sing it in my head. Sometimes... I sing it out loud.
