It's like everything I love about the movie in one picture. :-) I love that it's not just about romance, or friendship -- though those are big parts of it -- but it's also about creativity and work and everyone pitching in to make something special. So you don't just have Kathy singing to Don, though that's lovely (and provides a nice shot of Gene Kelly's broad shoulders :-) ), but you also have Cosmo leading the orchestra. And you just know he's thinking, "I have an orchestra. I HAVE AN ORCHESTRA. This is SO INSANELY COOL."

. . . And I've gone all gushy. That's what this movie does to me!

Oh, how sweet! *swoons* :-) Are you planning on catching Singin' in the Rain on July 12th? I know it's showing at many theatres throughout the country, as part of the 60th anniversary celebration. A good friend and I have tickets for a local showing, and we couldn't be more excited!

I'm tempted by Tumblr sometimes, especially seeing how quiet LJ has gotten, but if I open one, I'll have even less time for LJ and I really want to stay here till the end :'-(
