What is WRONG with people?

Now we're going to have at least two months -- probably longer -- of griping and moaning on figure skating boards because Davis and White chose a Sinatra medley for their short dance. Sinatra, the king of music, singing some of the greatest songs ever written -- they're calling it kitschy! Why does no one have any taste any more? I ask you!

You've got to be joking - Sinatra is timeless. What is wrong with these people?

Every time I listen to a Dean Martin or Sinatra song (and I listen to a lot of them) I bemoan the fact that you can now score a hit song by writing four insipid lyrics and repeatedly stringing them together. This is more about the writing, of course, but it's all related.

Memories are Made of This - it's structured as an actual recipe, and it's lovely.

I don't know. Maybe it's because there HAVE been kitschily choreographed routines in the past to Sinatra songs, by subpar teams. But this is one of the best teams in the world, so I think there should be great rejoicing that at last Sinatra will have someone who can do him justice!
