We're long overdue for some good old movie trailer snarking. Fortunately, we have here God's gift to snarkers: over-the-top fight scenes and CGI, anachronistically dressed classic characters speaking modern American slang, and a fairy tale done over as a bad episode of CSI: Germany, all wrapped up in one deliciously snarkable package. Have fun!

Speaking of whom, did you see that MM is playing a Victorian police detective on a new series? It doesn't look at all like my aesthetic (gritty, gory)... but it's MM playing a Victorian detective...

Why so many guns? What, is the movie sponsored by the NRA?

Also, I know people always make fun of how movies that take place Somewhere In Europe invariably feature people with British accents, but I think I like that better than two people raised in Germany having American accents.

Hollywood loves guns. They say they don't, but they really couldn't get along without them ;-)

And hey, if you aren't going to do an ACCURATE accent, American makes as much sense as British.

Apparently, I'm the only one in the universe who thought it looked kind of fun, and not just because of Renner. Anything that involves Hansel & Gretel is automatically in the realm of fantasy, and guns make it only moreso. I saw the full trailer before the Hobbit, and it looked fun.
