You're Gatsby comments are excellent! I saw the film and thought the same thing. All the decadence may be enchanting to watch but in the end did it give any of the characters what they really wanted? No.

Hey, Gina, I hate to come back and haunt an old post of yours but I'm trying to see Gatsby tonight and it seems like you'd be the best person to ask this: are the sex scenes in the movie very explicit? Or is it enough to just look away? The parent guide on imdb.com implies there's more than one, is that true? *sigh* I wish they didn't have to do that to book adaptions. Implying it was good enough for Fitzgerald, why couldn't it be for this movie?

I wouldn't call them very explicit. Looking away should be enough -- they hardly show anything at all, to the best of my recollection.
