I was watching Pocket Full of Rye last night -- didn't get to finish yet, as I had to comfort a friend who was distraught about her cat's death -- and one thing seemed awfully weird: Matthew Macfadyen's Inspector Neill was being all proper and dignified and quiet and mature and inspector-like, and all of a sudden he blurted out to the housemaid that the victim was "dead as a dodo!"

What was that about? I've read some Agatha Christie, but I'm not familiar with this one. Does the inspector turn out to have Tourette's, or did Matthew M. just tire of being proper, dignified, etc., and decide to throw in a little improvisation?

MST3K Volume 15 out tomorrow! Whoopee!!

Plus, Early Edition (season 2), The Middleman (first, last, and only season :-( ), Monk (season 7), and Psych (season 3) are all out in the next few weeks. This month seems to have been designed expressly to bankrupt me.
