Teal comes to Pemberley

Saw the first half of Death Comes to Pemberley on PBS last night. It took me a little while to accept Martin and Rhys in the lead roles -- they're good actors, and I've liked them in other things, but Ehle and Firth will always be the definitive Elizabeth and Darcy to me! But after a bit it felt like they settled into the roles -- or maybe I settled in and got used to them -- and they were very good.
As for Lydia and Mrs. Bennet, they simply tore it up! Felt like they stepped right out of the original novel, in all their cringeworthy glory. :-) Nice job by Jenna Coleman in particular.
I can't remember much of the book, though I remember liking it, so I can't really compare this adaptation with the source material. But it's pretty good overall. Nice tight plotting, good character development, and I'm loving the little flashbacks to P&P and the days immediately after.
Just one quibble: Whose bright idea was it to put Elizabeth in a teal dress on a teal couch against teal wallpaper? Did everybody working on the production suddenly go color-blind at some point?

Haha, I did not notice that moment with the teal dress! Oops! Though, to be fair, it looks awesome in another scene on the lawns of Pemberley! :)
