The GRE got postponed again, this time because of Snowpocalypse. They're going to let me know when it'll be rescheduled. In a way I'm sorry, because I would have gotten it over with, and in another way I'm glad, because I get more study time.

Although what good it'll do me, I don't know. I'll never have more than the most rudimentary grasp of a few mathematical concepts -- that's a certainty. I have a mental block the size of the Hoover Dam when it comes to math, so I'm just going to have to take the low score and hope that English departments don't mind too much.

Not really. I have my study guide, and I have a Great Courses DVD that a friend lent me, "The Joy of Mathematics." (PFFFT. Joy indeed. I smirk every time I look at the title.) They're both pretty good, but I just can't grasp this stuff. My mind won't work that way.

Ah, man. Math is one of those things that really really helps from having someone right beside you to explain and guide. I'm not a math person, but I learned it okay. I'd totally volunteer if I were close! :(

I'm sorry to hear that! Best of luck when you are finally able to take it! I am sure that they won't mind about the math parts, that seems to be a common theme among English majors! :)
