Conference thoughts

I spent the weekend working at my company's annual major conference. A few thoughts:
--Protip 1: Do not show up at a conference banquet without registering. They may feel obligated to be nice and let you in, and that means that there won't be enough food and some poor staffer will have to go without dessert. (It looked like a really good dessert, too.)
--Protip 2: If you're an exhibitor at a conference, and it's the last day of the conference, and you see tired staffers wandering around the hotel hallways before breakfast, do not take the opportunity to grab them and start delivering your spiel, especially if you have reason to believe they are not yet caffeinated. Be merciful and leave them to their wanderings.
--If I ever own a hotel, it will have specially designated lounges on each floor with comfy couches, where people whose roommates snore can go and get some sleep.
