I mean it. Right there.

We've had two good episodes to finish up the season -- which isn't quite enough to redeem a season of mostly crap, but hey, they get points for trying -- and House and Cuddy are FINALLY together, albeit a little abruptly . . . and they should just end it there, on that one sweet moment. Exceedingly few TV shows can sustain themselves for several years without deteriorating, and House has already started down that road. Sorry for the cynicism, but I don't think there's any bringing it back now. The rot has gone too far, and attempts to reverse the process will probably just be painful. And while the House/Cuddy moment was really cool, I honestly don't know if this romance can really work.

But at least Thirteen is finally getting sick. So we've got that going for us.

Why should House and Cuddy get together with Cuddy being treated like crap all the time?

I have been enjoying the first season. *sigh* Morality, professionalism, character depth and drama without stealing the patient's story... House's irreverence, although he does have some sort of morality...

House treats everybody like crap. He's like Henry Higgins: "The question is not whether I treat you rudely, but whether you've ever heard me treat anyone else better."

Not that I'd get into a relationship with him myself. But, well, at least he's better than the man-child!

According to TVTropes, this was the season ender. I ... don't know if it is, but that's what TVTropes says.

They're correct, it was. What I'm saying is that it should have been the series ender as well. There's nothing quite as ghastly as a once-excellent show that overstays its welcome, and I'm afraid that's what "House" might do.
