I had to read this three times in the Emmy nominee list in today's paper, just to savor it properly:

"Actor in a Drama . . . Kyle Chandler"

And again:

"Actor in a Drama . . . Kyle Chandler"

And one more time:

"Actor in a Drama . . . KYLE CHANDLER!"

Ahhhhhh.

"Friday Night Lights" getting ever more dramatic?

I don't even watch it anymore. :D Too angsty. I'm burned out on angst, especially the teen kind. I just love Kyle, that's all. "Early Edition" is one of my all-time favorite shows.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I am sure a lot of people deal with serious issues without succumbing to angst.

How did Early Edition turn out? I used to watch that show all the time. Loved the newspaper-kitty.

It didn't really go out with a bang or anything -- Gary just learned more about how and why the paper came to him, and picked his future successor (a young girl who shared his sense of compassion and justice), and started to feel much better about the whole deal.

See, just like you said: serious issues, angst toned down, maturity brought into play. LOVED that show.
