And, of course, one of the few times in the past years that I actually saw and loved one of the pics nominated... and I didn't watch the show. Such is my life!
Oh, believe me, you didn't miss much. Blah ceremony, aside from those four SQUEEable wins. (I mean, when the entire Internet agrees that the male co-host is stoned off his gourd . . .)
I've heard this everywhere today! How appalling. I'm glad I did not see it. How it makes me sick to see people doing stuff like this, when I would LOVE to be a part of that world and never will be. They have it and they spit on it. Ugh!
So glad to hear 'The King's Speech' won in important categories. It's good to see something/someone win on actual talent and merit, not just popularity! This movie seemed to have both, which is a rare thing these days.
I know, right?! Add in the two wins for Toy Story 3 and all in all I had a good night. It could have been better if Jeremy Renner had won Best Supporting Actor (even though I really wanted Geoffrey Rush to win), considering that he's from my hometown and I watched the show at the city's "Rally for Renner."
Actually, I thought the show was fun to watch (though maybe it was getting all dolled up and watching it in a 1930s-era theater). I love Anne Hathaway, and I now love Kirk Douglas, too. :)
I can´t muster up any positive feelig for the Acadamey Award show anymore, but on a side note*yay for Colin*I´ve been a fan of his for years, ever since he was Mr.Darcy.He is a very good actor.Other than that I can´t help thinking the Acadamey Awards has had it´s heydays. But James Franco*grrr*.He is fiiiiine <3
