Comment trouble

All of a sudden, comment notifications have stopped showing up in my inbox. Did LiveJournal make some sort of Facebook-like update (the inconvenient and annoying kind that they never even tell you about) that call for adjusting my settings? Or is it possible I messed up my settings myself without realizing it? Advice appreciated!

You're not the only friend of mine who is having issues with this. I have not been having this problem myself, but you are not the first one to mention something about it.

Yeah, I've seen other people reporting the same thing to Support. What I would do is check to make certain that your settings are right and then open a Support request. Make sure you mention that it's the LiveJournal Inbox (because there's currently a problem with notifications not coming to email), and it also helps us investigate if you can mention which notifications you're not getting (from a specific community, from your own journal, etc.)

The other support requests seem to have ended with the user's notifications just mysteriously showing up again, so, I don't know what to tell you.

It's not the LJ inbox, it's my e-mail. Sorry for being confusing. And thanks for the tip! (Love the icon. :-) )

Oh, WELL THEN, the answer is that LJ is having problems because a third-party vendor has listed LiveJournal as a spam site, so a lot of email providers are blocking email from LiveJournal as spam (even before it can hit users' email / spam). Support really can't do anything for you.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can try using a different email address if you like - I use gmail, and I'm still getting all my notifications.

I'm not getting any notifications, either, and I didn't do anything to my settings! I really hope livejournal is not becoming like facebook.

That was happening to me too. I was getting comments way after they were posted. They seem to be getting better at arriving on time now but I'm not 100% sure it is fixed.
