I really wish there were another message board besides C19 where one could go to talk about all things period. If you're not there to worship at the feet of Richard Armitage, you literally can hardly get a soul to talk to you.

I realize it started as a North & South board and that Armitage is naturally going to have a lot of fans there. I also realize that people are going to talk about what they want to talk about, and it's obnoxious to try to force them to discuss what they don't want to discuss. I don't want to be pushy or annoying. But honestly -- sometimes it's like being back in the land of playground cliques.

Every fandom I've ever seen is just like that. Fandoms seem to be composed mainly of women, and that's just how women are.

I don't mean to imply that they're mean about it. They're not. It's just like -- there's no world outside their own personal favorite actor. And on a board where you're supposed to be able to discuss all kinds of period books, movies, shows, and actors, that's just annoying.

Also, is it just me, or does Richard Armitage bear a strong resemblance to Hugh Jackman?

Mm, I don't notice a resemblance. (Psst -- I think Hugh's cuter. ;-) They're both nice-looking, though.)

Alas, I don't have time to create one -- I'm running too many blogs and websites as it is. Wish I could, though!

I know what you mean about C19. I've had a great time there, but it just seems to be so quiet nowadays.
