In the "Arms & Armor" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I spotted this massive suit of armor with stooped shoulders and hardly any neck.

I believe I said something along the lines of "Wow, that looks like it belonged to a cave troll!"

Then I read the plaque, to discover that it belonged to Henry VIII.

I think we may safely assume that, had I lived in the Tudor era, at some point my big mouth would have cost me my head.

BAAAHAHAHA!

I always forego the arms and armor for the musical instruments... now I sort of wish I had seen that.

It was really cool to see something worn by a Tudor up close! Still, I would have liked to see musical instruments, too. That place is just SO INCREDIBLY BIG! You'd have to live in it to see everything, I think, like the kids in "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankwiler."

I'm boring. I go to the Greek pottery, the musical instruments (and sort of glance down the balcony at the Knights in shining armor) and then whatever special exhibit I happened to be going there for.

I have often thought it would be cool to pull the living in the museum stunt. Though I'd rather live in the Library of congress. :-)
