Reply with a LOLcat, or just a comment saying you want to do the meme, and I'll give you five questions of your own. Here are my five:
1. What is your favorite literary adaptation/costume drama, and why? Gotta go with Little Dorrit. It has a few flaws, but on the whole it's SO lovely. A beautiful story of love and friendship, well told (mostly) and well acted. And as a fellow LiveJournaler wrote the other day, I'd shove Mr. Darcy to the ground to get to Arthur Clennam. :-) (And I like Mr. Darcy!)
2. What's the best thing about where you live? I could say that my family, friends, church, and job are here, but that's so generic. More specifically, I'd say access to theaters, concerts, and all kinds of other cultural events. D.C. is a really good theater/concert town, even though it's second to NYC.
3. What's the worst thing? The traffic.
4. You could write a bestselling novel now, or a novel that will sell practically no copies but be hailed as genius after your death, which would you choose? The question doesn't say that the bestselling novel WON'T be hailed as genius after my death. So I'll go with option one. (I do love loopholes. :-D )
5. What is your happiest childhood memory? Hard to say -- I have so many! :-) I'll just go with Christmas in Hawaii when I was six or so. That was a lot of fun, though there was no snow. Or perhaps because there was no snow.

Date: 2011-12-11 04:37 am (UTC)Little Dorrit is really stunning. The only thing that bugs me is the ending. They did a slipshod job of explaining the connection between Amy and Arthur, in my opinion.
