The Sound of Music on the big screen

Saw it this evening (first time on the big screen!) and had a delightful time. Just two quick observations before I head off to bed:
(1) That movie will never get old.
(2) Christopher Plummer will NEVER stop being hot.

Date: 2015-04-20 02:09 pm (UTC)I still don't see it in the movie, though. For some reason, in the movie, she gives off a very insincere vibe to me. I don't know why exactly. Just an "eye of the beholder" thing, perhaps.
However, I do think her parting line to the Captain is very gracious and kind -- she's giving him her blessing to go to Maria. (And I love his startled reaction. Like the WHOLE WORLD couldn't see what was going on with you, sweetie. :-D )
And now I think I need to go find me a "Sound of Music" icon or two! :-)
